This year I had the opportunity to compete in a film competition along with my classmates in my advanced TV productions class. We were given 3 days to film and edit a short film in NYC that had between 4 to 8 mins long and contain a prompt. Our prompt was "I left it all behind... now I am here". We were also given an actress to appear in our short film and a mentor to help us guide us through the process. Our film was called Aberration and it focused on a women whose past started to effect her current life.
My experience during the film invitational will always be a moment in my life I will never forget. Although due to our time limit things could get stressful, it was amazing to be able to be apart of the All American High School Film Festival's first ever film invitational. This experienced really motivated me to become better and not be afraid push my limits while film making. It was interesting to see the others school's films and their perspectives on the competition.
